The rest of this page is the detail behind those five points. It is written to be read rather than to be survived, and it describes what the software actually does today, not what it might do one day.
Little Earners is a small independent product built and run by one person. You can reach us any time at support@littleearners.app, which is also the address to use for any request in the Your choices section below.
The public site at littleearners.app records a page view and, if you click a plan, that click. Each record contains only the type of event, a rough traffic source (a marketing tag from the link you followed, or the website that referred you, or the word “direct”), and a timestamp. It contains nothing that identifies you, and it is not linked to any account.
There is no Google Analytics here, no advertising pixel, and no third-party tracker. Nothing follows you to other websites.
The demo on the front page sends the age, interests, saving-for goal and circle setting you typed. To stop one person from running the generator thousands of times, we store a one-way fingerprint of your IP address alongside the request. It is a hash rather than the address itself, and it is used for rate limiting only — never to identify or profile you.
We collect your email address and a password. The password is hashed by our authentication provider and is never visible to us in readable form. We also store the name you give your household.
You choose what to add. The app is built to hold as little as it can:
Payment is handled entirely by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's own page and never touch our servers. What we store is a Stripe customer reference, a subscription reference, whether the plan is active, and the renewal date.
This list is a design decision, not an oversight. The app has no field for any of it:
We do not sell data and we do not share it for advertising. We rely on four companies to run the product, and each sees only what its job requires:
| Company | What it does | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database and sign-in | Everything described above. This is where your household lives. |
| Vercel | Hosting | Serves the pages, and keeps ordinary short-lived server logs. |
| Anthropic | Generates job and business ideas | An age, interests, the goal being saved for, and the circle setting. No name, no birth year, no account details. |
| Stripe | Payments | Your email and payment details, given directly to Stripe by you. |
We may also disclose information if the law genuinely requires it. If Little Earners were ever sold or transferred, the same commitments would have to carry over, and you would be told before anything changed.
Little Earners is a tool for parents. Accounts are created and controlled by an adult. Children do not sign in, do not have accounts, and cannot enter their own information.
Everything recorded about a child is entered by their parent or guardian, who decides how much to add and can change or remove it at any time. We ask for a birth year rather than a full date of birth, and a first name rather than a full name, specifically so that a child's record is not a usable identity on its own.
Share images produced by the app show a first name and an amount. Before posting one anywhere public, look at it and decide if you are comfortable with it. That decision is yours, and it is worth taking a moment over.
When you invite a grandparent, neighbor or friend to post jobs, we store the display name you type and generate a private invite link. They do not need an account and we do not collect anything else about them.
Treat that link like a key. Anyone who has it can post a job to your board — it is the invite link itself, not the name attached to it, that grants access. Every job still waits for your approval before a child sees it, and you can remove an invite at any time.
We use cookies for one thing: keeping you signed in. There are no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no third-party cookies. That is why the site does not interrupt you with a consent banner — there is nothing to consent to.
Your household's records stay as long as your account exists, because the history of what a child earned is the point of the product. Delete your account and we remove your household, your children's records, goals, earnings, jobs and invites. Stripe keeps its own payment records for as long as its legal obligations require, and that is outside our control.
Email support@littleearners.app and we will, within a reasonable time and at no charge:
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA. We extend the four above to everyone regardless of location, because drawing that line by geography seemed like the wrong instinct. We have never sold personal information and have no plans to.
Data is encrypted in transit. Each household's records are isolated at the database level, so one family's data cannot be read by another even if the application code were wrong. Passwords are hashed. Payment details never reach our servers at all.
No system is perfect, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. If you find a security problem, please email us — you will get a real reply from a real person.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and email account holders. We will not quietly broaden what we collect.
